What you'll see
Vulcano, its pool and the faraglioni of Lipari
♨️Spiaggia delle Acque Calde
We'll moor for a first swim: the sea is blue and near the shore the water bubbles at high temperature.
🛁The Mud Baths of Vulcano
A very unusual warm pool where hot water mixed with mud rises from underground, with the smell of sulphur spreading through the air.
🌊La Piscina di Venere
A beautiful natural pool in a small amphitheatre of tufa rocks: according to legend, Venus used to dive here to regain her lost virginity.
⛰️Punta del Monaco and Capo Grosso
Sailing around the island towards the west coast, we'll visit Punta Cala del Formaggio, Capo Grosso and Punta del Monaco.
🕳️La Grotta del Cavallo
The largest cave in Sicily, also known as the Hermit's Cave: it owes its name to a boulder that looks like a horse's head.
⚓The Faraglioni and Lipari
Pietra Lunga with its 80 metres and Pietra Menalda at 20, the Arco degli Angeli, the Spiaggia Praia di Vinci and the village of Lipari with its Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
The experience
Swims, mud baths and a stop ashore
The tour of the island of Vulcano will take us along the west coast, all the way to the mythological Piscina di Venere for a second swim.
In Lipari we'll moor a short distance from the Corso Vittorio Emanuele: you'll be free to wander through the nearby alleys, among shops, restaurants and snack bars. The next stop will be the well-known Spiaggia di Pomice, with its white seabed that feels like the tropics.
