Aeolian Islands Tour – Salina & Panarea

This tour explores two of the wonderful Aeolian Islands, Salina and Panarea, to be enjoyed in a single day.

We'll depart from the Villa San Giovanni Tourist Port at 9:00 AM, heading North-West towards Salina Island. The navigation time should not exceed 90 minutes. Upon approaching the island, we'll head west and make our first stop at the unique Punta Perciato Natural Arch. You won't be able to resist capturing this majestic creation of nature with your photos.

Next, we'll visit Pollara Beach, a small gulf featuring distinctive small constructions carved into the tuff, once fishermen's houses, called "Balate," connected by very steep stairs just a few centimeters from the water.

Pollara is famous for hosting the filming of "Il Postino" (The Postman), a masterpiece by Massimo Troisi.

Afterward, we'll head south of the island, specifically to the locality of Lingua, where we'll make a stop on land. Here, you can take the opportunity to taste one of the most renowned Aeolian dishes, "Pane Cunzato," or an excellent typical granita.

PANAREA ISLAND

We'll then depart towards Panarea Island, with the first stop at Cala Junco Beach. This wonderful cove is formed by rocky outcrops at the top of which the remains of a prehistoric village dating back to the Bronze Age (14th century BC) are still present. The next stop will be the village of Panarea.

Once ashore, we'll delve into the small town. The distinctive white buildings with blue doors and windows, and the narrow streets and breathtaking views, will captivate you in a truly unique atmosphere.

We'll then set sail towards the islets that frame the island: L'isolotto delle Guglie (Needle Islet), with an astonishing cave inside; Lisca Bianca, a very characteristic tiny island; Basiluzzo, also an island, but with a particular charm. Here we'll have our last swim. After enjoying a fresh aperitivo, it will be time to return to Villa San Giovanni.
